Prevention first

  • Remove any sources of food, water and shelter, that would attract pests.
  • Store food in sealed plastic or glass containers.
  • Be alert for plumbing leaks and repair them as quickly as possible. Don't let water accumulate anywhere in the home
  • Regular vacuuming and cleaning anywhere that crumbs may accumulate
  • Declutter! Don't give pests a place pests to breed and hide. Get rid of things like stacks of newspapers, magazines, or cardboard.
  • Close off places where pests can enter and hide. Caulk the cracks and crevices around cabinets, windows and baseboards. Use steel wool to fill spaces around pipes. Cover holes with wire mesh.
